The Orleans Hotel and Casino
The Orleans Hotel and Casino in Vegas offers the best "off Strip" value in town and a family friendly atmosphere just a few minutes drive from the airport. When you think "off strip", don't anticipate ridiculous commutes to your favorite gaming spots on the Strip -- the Orleans is just over a mile west of the Strip. The "French Quarter" / New Orleans theme is unique and a welcome change from the typical "Old West" or "modern Vegas" look so common these days.
The Orleans Hotel and Casino can still boast one of the largest casinos in Las Vegas, a fully staffed health spa, two outdoor pools, plenty of live Vegas-style shows, a full movie theater, ten restaurants and dining options, and a fully accredited childcare center. The Orleans has just under 1,500 rooms that take up two 22-story towers. That's a smaller number of rooms than some of the downtown Vegas giants, so you can expect more personalized service.
Orleans Vegas
The Orleans Vegas hotel has a kid's pool, activities for kids aged 2 to12, jungle gyms, a video game arcade, and lots of other built-in fun stuff for the family. Older guests who aren't interested in gaming can enjoy the hotel's health spa, fitness center, saunas, steam rooms, and over sized hot tubs and whirlpools.
This hotel is colorful, almost reeking of the French Quarter. There's lots of free parking, easy navigation to restaurants and lounges (using the hotel's shuttle), and a "hidden" coconut grove garden near the heated pool.
Cheap Rooms at Orleans Hotel in Vegas
Cheap rooms at the Orleans require a little bit of planning. If you can plan your Vegas trip a few months in advance, you can book rooms as cheap as $30 depending on the length of your stay, the time of your visit, and the length of time you book in advance. If you include one or two weeknights in your stay, the values are even better. I've earned a free night at the Orleans simply for staying on a Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday night. The Orleans staff knows which side of the bread is buttered -- they treat off season and off peak time guests the same as high traffic guests.
